Origin of JBlendz

Humble beginnings lead to successful career

Hailing from the Chicagoland area, JBlendz has been spinning in one form or another since the age of 12. He started out DJin' neighborhood basement parties, elementary school dances, and family functions; he is now President of Final Round Broadcasting Inc. founded in 2001. After honing his programming skills over the years at countless school dances, teen events, and college parties; JBlendz taught himself to mix and began digging deeper into dance music in the 90's. Now with a strong foundation and following, JBlendz performs over a 100 times a year, spinning a mainstream mix of commercial dance, Top 40, and hip-hop.

"My mom was a DJ and the most influential person in my life so I naturally developed an ear for music. I watched her balance a career as an educator, earning her doctoral degree from Harvard University, be a spiritual leader, and role model to many including myself. The one constant in our lives was her love for music so I took the torch and ran with it! Before there was a JBlendz there was a DJ Bebop, I love you mom!"
